And just like that, the Madsen family’s party season comes to an end. What better way to finish off with our little Sofia’s 3rd birthday? When it comes to planning her party, its relatively easy. What’s the brief? PINK. She loves all things girly & princess-like, so I tied in her love of pink with a princess ballerina theme. I wish I could share a pic of Lloyd’s expression when I asked him to help me make a tutu for the table. haha! It still makes me smile. But in true Lloyd fashion, he did it with pleasure and was so chuffed to see the end result, even though it meant cutting 120 strips of tulle ( this process alone, took us two nights). Love my husband! Best Daddy ever 🙂
If only I could express Sofia’s excitement when she arrived at her party. It was an extra special day as the party fell on the same day as her birthday, so the hype and excitement from early that morning was a force to be reckoned with. Like her older sister Isabella, Sofia also made sure her request was in for our morning tradition. She politely said that she would like balloons (a number three, gold, white, pink and blue) to accompany her “coccolate” cupcakes (yes, thats the way she pronounces chocolate) and candles.
Our little angel Sofia, Mommy and Daddy couldn’t be more proud of who you are. You’re the funniest, cheekiest and most mischievous in the house – apparently just like your daddy was when he was small. You have the cutest sense of humour and contagious laugh. The way you love and protect your sister and brother is so beautiful to see. Your spiritual awareness is mind blowing, remembering to pray for specific things – big things, like healing, thanking Jesus for our angels and never forgetting each family member (near or far), as well as your friends and teacher. You mean the absolute world to us all. Thank you for bringing so much life, joy and colour into our lives. We love you more than you’ll ever know xxx
